Hockey DrillsReturn to Drills Index Passing Relay Race For age level: 0 Explanation: Space teams of 4 players each from the goal line to the center line. The player on the red line has the puck. On the whistle, players pass to the player next in line until the puck reaches the player at the center who then reverses the passing until it reaches the player at the goal line. First team to return the puck to the player at the goal line wins. If a pass is missed, the team must wait until the player who missed the pass retreives the puck and returns to his spot. Tips: This drill can be done with all players passing forehand, or all players passing backhand, or forehand to the center line and backhand to the goal line. This drill can also be laid out for players to stand within a circle painted on the ice with spray paint. A variation of the drill is to arange each teams in a circle. The pass must go to the next person in the circle until the puck arrives at the starter, then the passes must go in the opposite direction.
