Corner Contain

For age level: 11 to 13

Explanation: Offensive player O starts at the blue line and defensive player X starts at the top of the circle. Coach C shoots a puck into the corner. X contains C to the corner. O can not go above the face off dot or behind the net.

Tips: The first few times through, have the offensive player skate at half speed then gradually increase to full speed. Defensive players need to contain by angling instead of charging straight into the corner. To teach defensive players to use body position, not stick check, have them grip their stick by the blade end.
