Squeeze and Score

For age level: 11 to 13

Explanation: To start the drill, Player X1 takes the puck around the top of the left circle and shoots, then continues below the right circle and checks Player X2 by squeezing him to the boards at about the hash marks. Player X1 takes the puck and continues around the top of the right circle and then shoots on net. Player X2 then circles around the top of the right circle then the bottom of the left circle to check the next Player X1. The drill continues.

Tips: Stress the importance of the squeeze play along the boards is to take control of the opposing player and then skate away with the puck. Young players can start at half speed then increase with familiarity.
