For age level: 11 to 13

Explanation: Player 1 start in the corner with the puck and skates cross ice. As Player 1 begins to turn around the pylon they pass the puck to Player 2. Player 1 continues to face Player 2 using transition skating to "get open" in the center of the ice and receives a pass from Player 2. Player 1 skates towards the net and shoots low from the top of the circles, creating a rebound for Player 2 who skates to the net immediately after passing the puck to Player 1.

Tips: If the goalie deflects the initial shot away from the net (as they should) then a coach should slide a puck to the front of the net for the "rebound".
