Break Out Defense

For age level: 14 to 16

Explanation: Players set up for a standard break out drill, D to D behind the net to the far side winger at the hash marks. At any time, the coach blows the whistle and players must take up their defensive roles as if the puck was lost.

Tips: Use the center to seal off the puck when lost and wingers and D-men to take away the passing lanes.
