Hockey DrillsReturn to Drills Index Face Off Keep Away For age level: 11 to 13 Explanation: 3 circles are used simultaneously (make one from pylons if needed). Player X starts with the puck and with his back turned to his opponent, Player Y. On the whistle, the players battle for control of the puck, while staying in the circle. The player with the puck tries to use body position to keep the puck. The player without the puck attempts to take the puck away. Blow the whistle again after 20 seconds. Player the puck is the winner. Tips: To add conditioning to the drill, the losing player skates two laps while the winning player skates one lap.
